Is the Mac Book worth buying?

Im getting a laptop very soon and was wondering if the Apple Macbook is a good buy.
The model I might get is the 1299$ (1gb mem and 80gb hard)
Also which would you upgrade first Memory or Harddrive
The laptop is going to be use for Web Surfing, Photo and Music

I have an Ibook G4. It is by far the best laptop and best computer I have owned, I have been into computers since 1995. I would leave the memory and hard drive alone, it is good for a laptop. Get a MAC you wont regret it. No freezeups, crashes, errors or viruses, windows cant say that.
