Question about buying a macbook?
What’s the difference between buying a macbook at the Apple store
and buying one at an authorized reseller website (amazon, jr)?
I’m leaning towards buying the macbook at the authorized reseller website because the price is so much cheaper. But I’m worried about stuff like warranty, like just in case my macbook breaks.
There are no differences between buying from the Apple store and Amazon. I am not sure how long the manufacture warranty is but let’s for example say it is 2 years. If you buy a MacBook from the Apple store you will get 2 years warranty from Apple. If you buy a MacBook from Amazon you will also get the 2 years warranty from Apple. So you will get the 2 years regardless of where you buy it (Remember that I made 2 years up, and I don’t actually know the length of the warranty, 2 years is just used to help you understand easier). The only difference between buying from the Apple Store and Amazon is shipping + extended warranty. Obviously Apple Store and Amazon ship from different places and have different cost of shipping and speed of shipping. Also, Amazon is a reseller so they can offer extended warranty packages to add on to the one provided by Apple.
