Deals Laptop
Does anyone know of any good laptop deals in UK ?
I am looking for a laptop with; Core 2 Duo processor, 2Gb RAM, 120Gb hard drive min. (pref. 160), Microsoft works 8.5/9.0 installed
Prefered brands; Toshiba and Samsung
Idealy under £400

Toshiba has a long tradition of excellent laptops. Recently I notice that Compaq has also improved their product quality. Samsung is a relatively new entrant – I would go for the Taiwanese ASUS or ACER, both having a good user reputation.
Unfortunately the UK Prices are too high. So are the Euro prices. The best bargains are stll in the US, At times you can fly cheap to NYC and back from London and for the same British outlay for a Notebook enjoy a HOLIDAY + A LAPTOP PC!
Best is a UK websearch for Price comparison – use Kelkoo – and mail order is always the cheapest. Prices keep changing day to day and so whatever you think is a bargain will be outsmarted by another brand the very next day.
As of this moment, Kelkoo shows about 500 models under Pds 400. There are about 600 models with 2GB Memory, which is needed for VISTA.
